(Amé) Binnarae Kim is a narrative illustrator and comic artist based in Berlin, known for her whimsical storytelling and delightful imagery.
Using a mix of watercolours, coloured pencils, and digital media, she crafts enchanting narratives that often feature her beloved “usual suspects”: baked goods(croissants!), cats, bats, and other captivating creatures. Her playful style brings these characters to life, inviting viewers into a world filled with warmth and humour.
Through her art, Binnarae captures the joy of everyday moments, creating stories that resonate with anyone who appreciates the magic found in the simple things.
When she is not making art, Binnarae works as a content creator and social media manager at the comic festival ComicInvasion Berlin and other small brands.
She curates monthly window exhibitions at the oldest comic library in Berlin, Renate Comics, shining light on big and small local comic artists.
